Several years ago Tim visited a day spa, and the rejuvenating experience helped realized he wanted more out of life–aesthetically, physically, and spiritually! So he moved to Southern California, and began his journey towards a new life, helping himself and others be at their best. This classic European facial is appropriate for all skin types as it is customized especially for you. After steaming and cleansing, we apply an enzyme mask for skin exfoliation. Facial is followed with facial extractions which un-clog the pores of the face from stubborn debris and blackheads. . This is followed by a relaxing massage of the face, shoulders, neck and scalp. While an individualized mask is applied, your relaxation will be further enhanced by a hand and arm massage.

This PCA Anti-Aging Facial introduces your skin to some of the incredible PCA anti-aging serums. Facial includes Steam, Cleansing and exfoliation scrub. Facial extractions are not included in this facial as several hydrating, peptide smoothing, strengthening and anti-inflammatory serums are gently massaged one by one into the skin. A hand and arm massage is also given while the final mask is penetrating. We finish with an application of hydrating and protecting creams to nourish calm and protect.

Turning back the hands of time! Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical way to repair and restore your skin to its youthful appearance. Microdermabrasion is a clinical procedure which refines the texture of your skin while tightening the layers below the surface. Microdermabrasion creates the vacuum stimulation required to increase blood flow to the surface of the skin for collagen and elastin reformation.

Tiny micro surfacing crystals are gently layered over rough dry or damaged skin cells on the surface of the skin. The Microdermabrasion wand/device then gently suctions and lifts off the dead skin cells in a vacuum like motion leaving fresh newly exfoliated skin.

Microdermabrasion aids in maintaining healthy skin, decreasing the appearance of age spots, acne scarring, uneven skin tone/texture, hyperpigmentation, fine lines/wrinkles and scar resurfacing. It’s an all in one treatment!

You will feel minimum discomfort and no recovery time is required. During treatment you may feel a slight stinging/tingling sensation. There will be a visibly healthy glow following your treatment similar to how your skin may react after moderate cardiovascular activity. Removing deal cells revitalizes your skin and prepares it for better absorption of topical nutrients. It is imperative that sun screen be used throughout your microdermabration series and as a regular part of your skin care regime.

A series of 3 treatments is recommended to start. Increasing to a total of 6 treatments will only intensify the desired results. Treatments may be scheduled 10-14 days apart which allows for maximum rejuvenation of the skin. Continued treatments are recommended to maintain optimum results. LumiLift -$100  

This treatment is a complete photo rejuvenation procedure that combines the effects of Light energy, Micronized currents and HP polarized currents. Aging occurs in three levels: epidermal, dermal, and in the muscle tissues beneath.  Soli-Tone reaches down into all three levels to rejuvenate skin tissue, lift muscles and decrease fine lines and wrinkles.

How does it work?

During treatment, two specially designed electrodes pulsate light at a high power density to produce a cellular response. While the high intensity light is being absorbed by the skin, the Soli-Tone transmits micronized currents through the lifting electrodes thereby causing muscle regeneration and tightened facial contours. Two smoothing electrodes with HF polarized current are then applied to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.

Who should get this treatment?

This treatment is ideal for anyone that wants to combat sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles and maintain a more youthful appearance.

How long will the effects of the LumiLift procedure last?
People notice a difference after one treatment and Improvements continue for at least three (3) months after a single session. A series of 3 or more is recommended to intensify the results depending on the rate of the aging process. After completing a series the changes and improvements can last over one year. A good skin care regimen combined with a monthly maintenance treatment is sufficient to enhance and maintain the results from the LumiLift treatment.

LumiFacial – $100   

This treatment emits high frequency Blue, Red, Green and Yellow LED light to effectively improve skin tone, Acne, redness, and sun damage. The LumiFacial device can be set to fluctuate light and has 8 settings depending on which skin concern is being address.

How does it work?

Once the skin concern is identified the proper course of treatment and setting are chosen. Soli-Tone can also respond to Normal, Oily or Dry Skin.  A wrap around light panel is then used to distribute Blue, Red, Green and Yellow light or a variety of each to the lower epidermis and dermis layers. Each light has a different function and targets the area of concern. The machine automatically knows which light to use and for how long depending on the program chosen

Who should get this treatment?

This treatment is ideal for anyone that suffers from Acne, poor pigmentation, sun damage and redness. The results over time lead to a smooth even complexion.

How does the treatment feel?
The treatment is very comfortable; most clients fall asleep during the procedure. Unlike laser or IPL treatments that rely on thermal damage, LumiLift and LumiFacial treatments are non-invasive and totally natural. They use light from the visible spectrum, similar to sunlight but without the harmful UV rays.

How many treatments do I need?
Age, lifestyle, and skin condition will influence the number of treatments needed. During the complimentary
consultation, your skin and condition will be determined. Your esthetician will be able to evaluate your skin, explain the needed procedures and tell you the estimated number of sessions needed.
While clients usually report a noticeable improvement after just one treatment, a series may be required. Generally, 6 to 10 treatments achieved optimal results.

What results can I expect?
The improvement can be quite dramatic. Most clients see immediate improvement. With a series of treatment, years are easily removed from the appearance of the skin. Pore size is improved along with textural irregularities, acne, and pigmentation blemishes and facial redness. This is achieved with no thermal damage to the skin and no down time. Soli-Tone procedures are unique in that the face can be helped as well as the neck, chest, and hands.

LumiLift and LumiFacial – $140      

While LumiLift and LumiFacial are both good treatments on their own, utilizing both is an ideal way to achieve total skin restoration and anti aging. Each process takes about a half an hour making a combined treatment slightly over an hour. There are many types of waxing services offered at Palmer Skincare. The most common types we specialize in are Back and Shoulders and the Male Brazilian or as we call it the” Baseball wax”. There are some facts and misconceptions about waxing that should be covered before you choose to book your appointment.

Back and Shoulder Waxing

Waxing of the Back and Shoulders is a great way to remove unwanted hair on the back and shoulder area.  We try to make the procedure quick and easy as to minimize any discomfort you may feel.  Though certain areas on the back can be more sensitive than others overall any discomfort or pain is temporary. The area is thoroughly prepped and powdered to ensure a quick and easy detachment from the skin.  The procedure generally last about 20-30 minutes and generally the results last for about 3-4 weeks though clients can come in every 2 weeks if they choose to.

Side effects?

The treated area is generally a little red and sensitive for the first day and small red bumps may appear within the first few days. Some clients may experience a mild breakout but this can be effectively treated with a topical lotion that Palmer Skincare carries. Otherwise the skin is left feeling smooth, clean and fresh. Each person is different and the skin tends to toughen up after a few treatments.

What not to do before and after a wax?

Do not shave or clip the desired area. If the hair is less than a ¼ inch the wax will not be able to pull the hair effectively.

Avoid direct sun exposure for at least one day as the skin is technically newly exfoliated and will be more sensitive to UVA/UVB sunlight.

Do not engage in physical exercise that will induce heavy perspiration and sweating. After a wax the pores are open and excessive sweat may lead to irritation and clogging of the pores.

Baseball wax – Waxing of the male genital area

Many men to choose to wax their genital area or as I call it the Baseball Wax. This consists of the Scrotum, shaft or base of the penis and the taint or area under the balls. We can also wax the anal area

Is this painful?

Yes but only temporarily and we use a special wax that makes for a quick and clean pull from the area.

You may also choose to wax the entire genital, pubic and anal area which would be the Male Brazilian.

Every person is different and we can customize your wax for you.  Although temporarily painful the results are well worth it as the area is smooth, cleaner and more sensitive to the touch.

Dos and Don’ts before and after a Baseball wax

The same rules apply to a Baseball wax or Brazilian Wax as they do to the Back and Shoulder as stated above but we do request that you be freshly showered and clean in the area to be treated for sanitary purposes.

Is it embarrassing to get waxed?

Not to me. It can be a little uncomfortable to be fully exposed however remember we are here to get the area cleaned and waxed.  Most men feel very comfortable after their first session.
