MICRODERMABRASION – an alternative to skin peels
Turning back the hands of time! Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical way to repair and restore your skin to its youthful appearance. Microdermabrasion is a clinical procedure which refines the texture of your skin while tightening the layers below the surface. Microdermabrasion creates the vacuum stimulation required to increase blood flow to the surface of the skin for collagen and elastin reformation.
Tiny micro surfacing crystals are gently layered over rough dry or damaged skin cells on the surface of the skin. The Microdermabrasion wand/device then gently suctions and lifts off the dead skin cells in a vacuum like motion leaving fresh newly exfoliated skin.
Microdermabrasion aids in maintaining healthy skin, decreasing the appearance of age spots, acne scarring, uneven skin tone/texture, hyperpigmentation, fine lines/wrinkles and scar resurfacing. It’s an all in one treatment!
You will feel minimum discomfort and no recovery time is required. During treatment you may feel a slight stinging/tingling sensation. There will be a visibly healthy glow following your treatment similar to how your skin may react after moderate cardiovascular activity. Removing deal cells revitalizes your skin and prepares it for better absorption of topical nutrients. It is imperative that sun screen be used throughout your microdermabration series and as a regular part of your skin care regime.
A series of 3 treatments is recommended to start. Increasing to a total of 6 treatments will only intensify the desired results. Treatments may be scheduled 10-14 days apart which allows for maximum rejuvenation of the skin. Continued treatments are recommended to maintain optimum results.
